harvest

I've been looking forward to harvesting my garlic this year, It's all grown beautifully, and it's just a little bit magical finally being able to see what's been happening under the ground for all of these months.

I know that you're not supposed to harvest the garlic until new years day, but given that we are going on holidays, and that it may need some time to dry out, I thought it would be okay to harvest my crop a little early... and I was not disappointed.

It's like a little bit of magic, really... I planted the cloves from two heads, and now I have head after head of glorious garlic, to share and enjoy.

Wow, that looks great. Did you buy a particular type of garlic to plant out? I am tempted to try it as we are having issues with possums eating the fruit and veg in our garden. Although, with my luck, possums probably love garlic, too.
